Lumecca

What Is Lumecca?

Skin discoloration treatment can dramatically improve the appearance of a patient’s skin by lightening the tone of dark spots caused by acne, rosacea, or sun damage. At Beverly Wilshire Aesthetics, our preferred treatment method is InMode Lumecca IPL. It is a non-invasive treatment that harnesses the power of IPL (intense pulsed light) laser for noticeable results in as little as one treatment.

Benefits of Treatment with InMode Lumecca

InMode Lumecca IPL treatment offers many benefits over traditional IPL treatments, including:

  • A much larger surface area of the skin can be covered in a single session compared to other treatments. This means patients only have to come into our offices for one or two sessions, instead of six to eight.
  • The IPL device is tipped with sapphire, a gemstone that has a strong cooling effect on the skin.
  • Lumecca does not cause redness or peeling after treatment.

Lumecca FAQ

Lumecca is safe to use anywhere on the body but is most commonly employed on areas that have frequently been exposed to direct sunlight. This often includes the following areas:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Arms
  • Hands
  • Legs

InMode Lumecca has been shown to be both highly effective and very safe. Serious side effects are very rare. However, patients will likely be more sensitive to sunlight following treatment. As such, sunscreen is highly recommended for any outdoor activities and any sort of tanning should be avoided altogether.

Most skin discoloration treatments that use an IPL laser require six to eight sessions. Lumecca only requires one to two sessions, and results are immediately apparent.

No. Some clients will not benefit from this treatment. Dr. Zarrini and the Beverly Wilshire team will recommend alternatives for people who cannot be treated with Lumecca.
